Lilly has now found her forever home.

Way to go, Lilly!

LILLY is a very sweet gentle chocolate Labrador bitch fostered in Norfolk with 2 resident dogs and a cat.

She is 9 years young. Her foster mum says “Lilly is continuing to fit in well. Her character is starting to come out more and more, she loves attention and has started to play with toys. She’s so loving and likes to meet new people! She walks well on the lead and has greeted other dogs politely. Lilly knows basic commands and is housetrained”

.She loves human company so a home with someone at home most of the day would suit her best. As she was showing some stiffness when getting up she has been for a health check at the vets. She is being treated with a short course of anti-inflammatory meds to see if this helps. She already seems more active and mobile so it may be she will need to continue with them or a supplement like Yumove to keep her happy.

Whilst in Ireland she had a lump removed from her side. The wound site is healing well and once the hair grows back she should be fine.
Lilly is also on a strict diet (she’s not too happy about that!), as she needs to lose a couple of kgs which will ease the pressure on her arthritic joints. We will be looking for the perfect retirement home for Lilly in the new year. A home with someone home most of the time who can give her gentle walks a couple of times a day to build up her stamina would be perfect. Although she’s a gentle soul no young children please, as she’s an older lady!
