Adoption Agreement – Irish Retriever Rescue

The average cost to us from rescue to rehoming is now in excess of £400 per dog. We would therefore appreciate a minimum donation on adoption of £400 to reflect this. Your donation helps up pay for transport, microchipping and care for the dogs whilst they are with us and goes towards veterinary fees, including neutering.

Terms and Conditions *

Will abide by the following Terms and Conditions of Adoption from Irish Retriever Rescue:

1. The dog shall be kept in the house, as a member of the family, at all times.
2. The dog shall be provided with food, water and shelter at all times.
3. The dog shall be provided with necessary veterinary treatment at all times.
4. It shall be ensured the the dog has regular exercise.
5. The garden/home shall be a secure area and it will be ensured the the dog cannot escape at will.
6. The dog shall not be left alone for more than 3/4 hours on a regular basis.
7. Should problems arise relating to the dog, Irish Retriever Rescue shall be contacted in the first instance.
8. Any dog from Irish Retriever Rescue shall not be bred from, nor used for any purpose other than as a pet (obedience/agility etc with the right dog is, of course, very much endorsed).
9. The dog must be returned to Irish Retriever Rescue should he/she be unable to be kept for any reason.
10. The dog shall at all times have appropriate collar ID displayed.
11. It is accepted that Irish Retriever Rescue is in no way responsible for any behavioural disorders that the dog may develop and all right to claim from Irish Retriever Rescue are waived.
12. It is accepted that LEGAL ownership of the dog remains with Irish Retriever Rescue.
13. (If appropriate) I agree to neuter/spay the dog at a time advised by my vet and that I will notify IRR prior the operation so the account can be settled direct with my veterinary practice.

PLEASE NOTE: Dogs are already micro-chipped and the registration of the chip will be made by IRR into the adopter's name after the two week Acceptance Period.

I understand that this document is a legally binding contract and that Irish Retriever Rescue reserves the right to ownership of the dog(s) should the contract be breached in any way. I am happy for a member of Irish Retriever Rescue to visit my home at any time to check on the welfare dog.
