Digger is a fabulous house dog, loving and affectionate, loves his food just a typical lab!!

Unfortunately outside the home he’s a bit of a handful. He walks well on the lead until he sees another dog and this is when everything changes and he becomes very reactive!!!!…

His reactivity has become much worse in his current home and we’re putting this down to living in a busy town where there are lots of outside stimuli, lots of other dogs, heavy traffic etc causing his ever filling  bucket to tip!!!

His reactivity so far has always been when he is on the lead. He has been fine with dogs he has lived with.

Digger will need an experienced owner who is happy to work on his lead reactivity using distraction and reassurance. We are sure with the correct training and a more peaceful setup this boy will come on in leaps and bounds!

A bit about Digger

“Digs’ is very independent and goes off to relax in his own favourite spot but then also enjoys company and cuddles and has been very friendly with any person he’s been introduced to. He can be put to bed with a “Bedtime!” and a biscuit and you won’t hear a murmur out of him until morning and depending on whether you’re an early riser, sometimes you have to wake him up! He enjoys the comfort of his bed or a couch, or whatever soft surface he’s allowed on and of course, his first love is food. He will wait if told to “leave” food that is left in front of him, until he’s allowed to take it and he has learnt lots of key words and directional instructions such as “Heel”, “Down”, “Sit”, “Wait”, “this way” and “off” in his basic obedience training.”
